A former President

I fell in-love with DCC. I really did. And until now I will always look up to her as a home. Whatever happens to it, I feel like I'm a part of it. I just received the news for the latest SSC election. Congratulations to those who won. hmmmm.

At my time, popularity, is one of the greatest conflict, but not that much. My opponents were one of my closest friends, I'd never consider gens as my personal opponent anyway. They're team were a product of "why not?" but indeed, they were good. I always believe that it won't work out well that way. But each of their candidate without considering the team, was popular. I was a bit nervous for my team as well. I'd never took them for granted. But still, I guess, once you are a part of a strong team, no matter how popular your opponents are, you still have some strong impact.

Popularity, in most cases, affects the thinking of the students. You become more influential once you are popular but NOT ALL POPULAR ARE SUITABLE TO HANDLE A POSITION. That is why in every election, there are always qualifications that are shown and "a must" to be followed. In our case, my team and my opponents were able to cope with the qualifications, though there are a little flaws but it was tolerable. Thus, each team has brilliant candidates with of course different experiences in handling clubs and organizations. What i'm trying to point out here, students in my time, wasn't much able to appreciate the impact of popularity in their votes. They vote through their own judgment that I considered wise.

SSC is a no easy office to handle. People involve in there should be courageous, strong, well-experienced and smart enough to establish activities, write a lot of letters and recommendations and run the office as a whole. SSC itself is not a stage of popularity. It is an organization of WELL-ESTABLISHED students who have the ability to lead, persevere and act well. Good luck to you successors! May you not bring down the name of the SUPREME STUDENTS COUNCIL that I've once handled with care. The voice of the students----hope it will not be weak.
