Michie's answer to "who are you?"

"Nobody” is a word that other people might say about me, especially those who do not know me. Whenever I am asked who I am, I usually answer them by my name, age or facts about me. But I realized, who I am is more than the scope of my facts. It touches the way I see myself as a person because who I am is what I believe I am.

Other people may say that I am a blooming petal of a rose or others might consider me as the thorn. They may call me as a big shell in the ocean but others may also see me as a tiny spec of dust in the wind. They may have a lot of things to tell about me but I believe, next to God, the person that knows me better, is nobody else but me.

One of the wondrous acts performed by God is the making of mankind. I must say, I am a wonderful creation gifted with a wonderful life. But just like other creations, I am not destined to be perfect. Troubles sap my energy. But I sure love the feeling when I get through it! It’s like fire burning in my head. I commit a lot of mistakes. But the best thing about mistakes is learning. I love learning for it is a part of life that fuels me to continue living. I am courageous person because I am courageous enough to admit that I am weak. I am a statue but feet of clay. I am nothing with God, my friends and family. My strength of making it through though times comes from them. In order for me to survive when the going gets tough, I hold on to their arms. Without them, I am nothing.

I don’t stop friends whenever they want to do something really wild because usually I always become a part of their company doing stuffs like that. Don’t get me wrong. These “wild actions” are what I called tolerable. I love hanging out with these people I call friends. I don’t choose friends. It naturally occurs as a feeling. It’s not looking but just blending in with the people who have colors the same as mine. I live a life the way I wanted it to be. And I’m happy with it.

In life, our personality reflects upon how we see ourselves. It is in our eyes and hearts. As for me, I am somebody who has her own principles in life. I am somebody who continually changes for the betterment of my individuality. I am somebody who works for being true and shows the best in me. And yes, I am not a nobody. Who am I? I am SOMEBODY.
